The story

Started at 55.

JP Powell started his racing career at 55, earned his pro license at 57, and gridded for his first MotoAmerica race at 58.

Many people assume certain dreams have an expiration date as responsibilities grow and passions get postponed. He now competes against riders who have spent most of their lives in the sport — which is the point. Ambition, reinvention and meaningful victories still exist in the second half of a life.
